Hey there Teacups! I hope you’re all doing well and you had a great weekend.
For today’s instalment of Let’s Talk Tea, I’m going to be introducing you all to as independent tea company called Hoogly Tea.
‘Hoogly Tea’ combines the love of tea with the mindful Danish concept Hygge, to create a unique and healthy range of blends, made with luxury natural ingredients.
All of their teas are blended and packed in the UK, they are ethically sourced and fairly traded. Their biodegradable tea pyramids are soil association certified.
Hoogly really have done a great job with their blends and I had so much fun trying the ones they sent me to try.
Tart rhubarb and sweet vanilla combine beautifully with Chinese green tea to produce a well- balanced blend that’s perfect in any situation.
I’ll admit now that I’m not the biggest fan of rhubarb, so I was very hesitant to try this blend thinking that I wouldn’t enjoy it at all. The Vanilla element of this blend though completely balanced out the tartness of the rhubarb and mellowed it out. Resulting in a extremely fruity, naturally sweet cup of joy!
I drank this tea hot and really enjoyed it, however I think it would be even better iced – no matter what the weather outside.

This is a cosy combination of smoky tea leaves and warming spices, licked by flames of safflower and sprinkled with crushed chilli for a hint of fiery charm.
As you will all know by now I absolutely love Oolong tea, and this one was no exception to that. In fact I will even go as far as to say it is one of the nicest oolongs i’ve tried in a very long time.
This Oolong was slightly smokey, floral, and had subtle fruity note as well. Overall it made for a really warming brew. I was able to Steep the same bag 3 times and it’s flavours stood strong.

Wonderfully rich and unapologetically decadent, this indulgent blend is a tribute to all the good things in life.
I love brownies that is no secret! So when I opened the box that Hoogly sent to me and saw this blend in there, I was ecstatic. As you all know I’m a huge fan of T2’s caramel brownie blend so of course any other brownie inspired tea that I try will always be compared to that one.
No don’t get me wrong this blend was really quite tasty but for me it didn’t compare to the T2 brownie blend. I could 100% pick out the flavours they were going for but for me it just tasted like black tea with the slightest hint of chocolate. With a little bit more work this could be a perfect well rounded blend.
Overall Teacup Rating: 🍵🍵

Why wait for that special occasion? Celebrate the magic of each simple moment with this beautiful Chinese white tea, elegantly blended with flowers and fruit pieces for a refreshingly refined finish.
This blend made for a perfect cold brew! It was fruity, floral and incredibly refreshing. This is a perfect summer blend and I’ll probably be drinking this for as long as the hot weather lasts.
Overall Teacup Rating: 🍵🍵🍵🍵

Yes teaaa 👌🏽 I liked iced tea from Starbucks, but I wanna start making my own. My family likes drinking hot tea from time to time so I might give that a go. The white tea sounds good from this brand

When I saw the brownie flavor I got excited, but after reading what you had to say about each of these blends, I think I’d like the white tea best! It’s a type of tea I find myself more and more into these days.
And YAY for biodegradable products!
