Let’s Talk Tea – Featuring – Leaves Of The World*

Hey there Teacups! For this let’s Talk tea I’m going to be introducing you guys to a independent tea/tisane company that you all know I absolutely love. – Leaves Of The World

Leaves Of The World are an independent tea company based in hull (U.K.). Sam and Jason are the Tea Nomads behind the creation and success of the company.

They are a organic, vegan friendly company. All of their teas are certified as organic by EU standards.

Their vegan-friendly ethos is part of their belief that creating great tasting teas is possible without the use of animal products such as chocolate and honey, or chemicals that have been tested on, or used to deter animals at plantations such as pesticides.

How amazing is that! Finally a company relaises that there is not need to use any animal products in their teas!

They are already one of the largest all organic tea shops in the U.K. and they are growing fast. Their aim is to bring the world our organic range of teas, and to help grow the supply and farming of organic plantations.

I was first introduced to Leaves Of The World through the lovely team over at Teatourist when their Pumpkins Go Bananas blend (That you all know I love )  featured in the April box.

Sam and Jason were kind enough to send me a few samples of their best tea and tisane blends to try. So I thought what better place to talk about them than in a Let’s Talk Tea post!

Nuts About You

Ingredients: Organic: Black tea (74 %), cocoa bean bits (7%), cocoa shells (7%), almond bits (5%). Natural flavouring. Organic: rose petals, strawberry slices

This blend is creamy, nutty and just the right amount of sweet. Everything you could ever want in a cup! If you’re a Nutella fan there is no doubt in my mind that you will adore this blend. To me the nutty notes paired with the strawberry, reminded me almost of a strawberry cream chocolate. That was certainly an aspect of this blend that kept me going back.

How to make :

Hot : for a 16oz cup use one Leaf Loader of tea (1 ¼ teaspoon). Brew me at 95˚c for 3-6 min

Latte: For a 16oz cup use 3-4 Leaf Loaders of tea (or equivalent). Froth the milk to desired texture. Pour tea into cup first, followed by hot frothy milk, and stir
Overall Teacup Rating:🍵🍵🍵🍵🍵

Granny’s Apple Pie

Ingredients: Organic: Green tea, apple pieces, cinnamon pieces and pink pepper. Natural flavouring.

This blend is a sweet treat with a hint of heat. I make the perfect tea latte. (With Almond milk of course)

This is another blend that manages to pack such a sweet punch even though it’s completely sugar free, I think this is one of my favourite aspects when it comes Leaves Of The World, their blends have helped me to cut down so much when it comes to unhealthy treats and I’m endlessly thankful. The Pink pepper innthis belnd made for a really unique aftertaste unlike anything I have tasted before.

How to make:

Latte: For a 16oz cup use 3-4 Leaf Loaders of tea (or equivalent). Froth the milk to desired texture. Pour tea into cup first, followed by hot frothy milk, and stir.
Overall Teacup Rating: 🍵🍵🍵🍵

Caramel Cream

Ingredients : Organic: Black tea. Natural flavouring (malt barley)

If you have a crazy sweet tooth like I do you will love this blend to death! It’s a cup of pure indulgence that is so incredibly moorish. Even though the blend tastes very sweet it’s completely sugar free 😳 Which makes it a great substitute for a unhealthy sugar filled treat.

Nuts About You sounds like the perfect blend for someone who can’t stop eating chocolate Oreos all day long (guilty!). I go through phases with almonds and right now I’m back to loving them, so I’d like to try this out!

Okay I feel a little dumb now, but which animal products are there in tea? I never knew I was drinking animal! It’s awesome that this company exists, but I’m just so blown away by the fact that there is tea that’s not vegan.
