Hey there Teacups! Welcome to this weeks instalment of The Green Living Guide 🌱
I recently took a trip to Vrev – An All Vegan diner in the heart of Manchesters northern quarter. A restaurant I had wanted to visit for a long time.
It’s safe to say that the long wait to visit was absolutely worth it. It won’t be long before I’m back.
First things first the decor in Vrevs edge street location is beautiful! The block colours and quirky artwork, made my heart happy.

You all know how much a love teal, so of course I couldn’t help but love their decor. While in this picture the seats don’t look very comfy… believe me they really are. I was so shocked.
It was so great to be able to go into a restaurant and have the choice of absolutely everything on the menu! I haven’t been able to do that for a long time.
Before I get onto talking about the food .. can we please talk about that fact that this menu is full of incredible puns. I mean come on it’s like they read my mind before opening this place.
After looking at the menu for a while, I finally decided on having the Buffalo The Vampire Slayer – Chkn burger and my other half went for the BBQ Without You – Beefy Buger. Both Were accompanied by a side of fries.
So what did with think of the food we had?
My other half and I both agree that this was some of the tastiest veggie food we have had in a good while.
Vrev’s food is definitely comfort food, (which is hard to find as a veggie or a vegan) and I think thats why we loved it so much. Our visit has definitely opened my eyes to what I could be making when it comes to veggie / vegan meals.
I often expect vegan Food I eat while out and about to be quite bland and often times it is, but that was not the case at all with vrev. It was so flavourful and moorish, even after I had finished my food and was incredibly full, I would have eaten more just because of how tasty it was, it would have been worth the pain!
The only thing I have to complain about of course is that they tea they they served was bagged tea and not loose leaf. It would have been a 5 out of 5 experience if they would have served some great vegan loose leaf teas.
Vrev is a restaurant that just proves how easy it is to create amazing flavourful comfort food without killing harmless animals in the process. Popular Restaurants could learn a lot from Vrev.
