Hey there Teacups! I hope the weekend is treating you well so far. I’m back today with a my first lets talk tea brand spotlight post in a good while. These are honestly some of my favourite posts to write so I don’t know why its been so long since my last one.
Anyway lets get into what this post is all about shall we?
Today’s post is all about Wise Ape Tea. When Wise Ape Tea very kindly sent me a some of their performance tea to try I couldn’t have been happier.
After following them on Instagram for a while I was really intrigued to find out what they were all about. Beyond the words on their website and the pictures on their feed, and lets be honest who wouldn’t want to try a tea named Chocolate Hustle. You all know I’m a sucker for teas based around chocolate.
“Wise Ape is more than just a tea, it’s a tribe of like minded individuals who are focused on self-evolution with an altruistic attitude.”
Wise Ape Tea is based out of Marlton Nj, and their mission is A.P.E – (Don’t worry I’m going to explain exactly what that means) Their Chocolate Hustle – Adaptogenic Tea (Yerba Mate) definitely stands out in the over crowded tea industry.
So what exactly does A.P.E stand for?…
Altruism: We believe in giving back to the world and inspiring others to do the same. Each one of our performance tea blends donates 10% of profits to a unique charitable cause. (How amazing is that! – definitely something a lot of business’ these days could learn from)
Performance: We’re committed to providing excellence in products and powerful information to help you feel your best and perform your best. Wise Ape’s performance tea blends are designed with this purpose, for your mind and body.
Evolution: This journey is about evolution, as individuals and as a company. We’re dedicated to the process of helping our tribe members evolve into better versions of themselves. (From what I’ve heard wise ape tea have some really exciting things coming up … Like a brand new blend!…which sounds delicious)
If you want to find out more about the missions of Wise Ape Tea and read their story head over to their website – http://www.wiseape.com (Their story is amazing and incredibly touching I recommend checking it out when you have the time)

My Overall ReviewAs you all know I’m really new to yerba mate the first one I tried was in Octobers’ tea tourist box, but if you’ve read that post you know that I really enjoyed it and couldn’t wait to try more. So when it came to trying Wise Ape’s Chocolate Hustle I was really excited. Not only does it appeal to my dessert tea obsession but it also appeals to my new found love for yerba mate.
The aspect of this tea that I love the most is that the tea and its roasted, earthy and slightly smoky notes are at the forefront in terms of flavour. The chocolate and mint are very much bottom notes but they are definitely there and compliment the notes of the tea exceptionally.
Normally when it comes to both chocolate and mint in teas they often have a very dry mouth feel and are a little bit bitter in aftertaste. This one however has a nice smooth mouthfeel and no bitterness at all. If I didn’t already love yerba mate I certainly do now.
When it comes to how this tea has effected me I definitely have seen a notable change in energy and have been able to focus a lot better on tasks I set out for myself. This tea is the perfect combination of deliciously flavoured tea and adaptogenic herbs. I highly recommend Chocolate Hustle not only people who love tea but those who want to up their energy and focus throughout the day in a natural healthy way.
Overall Teacup Rating : 5/5
