Hey there Teacups! I hope you’re all doing well. As you’ll all know by now I’m a self confessed tea addict and I know many of you are to. So for today’s post I thought I’d put together a list of 10 thing you will definitely only understand if you’re obsessed with tea …Let me know how many of these you relate to.
10 – It’s highly unlikely that you would EVER drink a cup of tea that anyone else has made.
I’m really bad for doing this. I’m a stickler for how I have my teas and rather than make a fuss telling someone else how to do them id rather just do it myself. Because I tend to drink more than one type of tea it just eases the trouble. The only other people who are allowed to make me tea are the team at T2 Meadowhall (They’re far more talented that I am)
As weird as that probably sounds it has happened before… more than I like to admit. I once had dream that I had a house right in the middle of a tea field and honestly it was amazing. I hardly ever remember my dreams but that once I will remember for a life time. Just imagine living in the middle of a tea field and have a life time supply of tea. It would be a dream come true.
8- Tea is your social glue!
You’ve probably broken the ice in thousands of conversations simply by asking if people would like a cup of tea! It’s helped your confidence more than you ever thought it would. Tea and blogging about it has help me to meet and connect with so many other tea lovers and creatives and I’m incredibly thankful for it. I know that over time some of the people I’ve been able to connect with become life long friends.
7- You have a huge collection of mugs and teacups.
They say money can’t by happiness but it can buy mugs and teacups in my eyes that’s close enough. I’m not even going to admit to how many mugs and teacups I have in my collection because you’ll all think I’m crazy. If I’m completely honest it’s only going to get bigger. Tea is my thing why should I be able to collect the things that I need to be able to make the most of it. How big is your mug collection?
6- You know that you won’t run out of tea anytime soon but you still live in constant fear that it will happen ..
I know I’m not going to run out of tea any time soon, I would have to drink for 24 hours a day everyday and not sleep at all to get through all of the tea that I have. But that doesn’t stop me from living in fear that one day I will wake up and there will be no tea there. Its honestly a nightmare to eve imagine that. (I know there are bigger things to worry about in the world right now but just let me do my thing ..okay?)
5- You’re tea goes everywhere with you.. EVERYWHERE
I literally do not go out of the house without tea. No matter what there is always some kind of tea in my bag just in case. Especially when I’m travelling, You should have seen the amount of tea I took to Florida with me. Better safe than sorry .. Am I right? It’s always nice to have a home comfort wherever you are in the world.
4- You find the whole ritual of tea making rather soothing.
A lot f people often say they don’t bother with loose leaf tea because its to much of a hassle when you just want a cup of tea. But I honestly find the ritual of it all to be one of the most relaxing things. I struggle quite a bit with anxiety and it helps me so much with grounding.
3- Although you have a vast collection of mugs, you have one specific special mug that you would protect at all cost.
Mine is my chip mug that I picked up while I was in Walt Disney World. Not only is it adorable but it hold quite a good amount of tea. I’d be absolutely gutted if anything happened to it. Let just put it this way if they weren’t selling it in the UK Disney store now, I would honestly consider making a trip to Florida to pick another one up.
I honestly believe that without tea there is no way I would get half as much done as I do. I’m not over estimating when I say it’s pretty much my life blood. Recently I’ve been starting off each morning with a matcha latte (unsweetened) and it’s been helping my normally very lethargic self find a whole new energy. I don’t think I would be able to get nearly as many blog posts as I do without a cup of tea in hand either.
1. The most offensive thing that someone could say or do to you would be to decline your offer of a cup of tea!
Especially when you know they like tea so they can’t even use that as an excuse. Okay maybe I’m being a little bit harsh with this one.. I’m sure you all understand where I’m coming from though … right? (I’m a nice person I promise)
So there you have it 10 things you will no doubt relate to if you’re as obsessed with tea as I know you all are! There’s no way you can hide it from me, if you’re taking the time to read my blog you clearly love tea too.
Speak to you all again soon, Happy Steeping – Kimberley 💖🍵
