Hey There Teacups! Since I posted about Leaves Of The World’s 2017 Christmas Collection and asked if you would like to see a post about how to make lattes with their teas and tisanes, I’ve had so many people ask to see (clearly you all love tea lattes as much as I do). So you asked and with today’s post I’m going to answer.
I’ll be talking you all through how to make a latte with all three of the teas & tisanes available in the collection. (Read more about the collection here) I’ve done nothing but make lattes with these blends since they got, here I’m going to be so sad when I have non left and I won’t be able to have them again until next Christmas (hopefully)
Christmas Cake – Black Tea Latte
What You’ll need :
Leaves Of The World Christmas Cake Black tea (3-4 Perfect Scoops)
Alpro Soya Milk (Original) (1/2 a Cup) – (A Little For Frothing to top your latte)
Your Chosen Sweetener (1 and a half teaspoons)
Any topping you want to add (I went for little gingerbread men – aren’t they the cutest)
How To Make it
– Measure out your Christmas cake tea – You’re going to need at least 3-4 perfect scoops as the tea has to be strong enough to still stand against the amount of milk you are going to use.
– Steep Your Tea – When it comes to black tea lattes I steep my tea on the stove in a half milk half water mix like I would with a chai with the sweetener added. Not only does this produce a much creamier indulgent latte but it also makes my kitchen smell amazing so everyone wins recently. Steep for around five minutes.
– Transfer your latte into your mug or latte glass
– Froth the milk that you set aside for topping and an that and your chosen toppings to your latte.
– Sip your heart out
Marzipan Dream – Green Tea Latte
What You’ll need :
Leaves Of The World Marzipan Dream Green Tea (3-4 Perfect Scoops)
Alpro Soya Milk (Original) (1/2 a Cup) – (A Little For Frothing to top your latte)
Your Chosen Sweetener (1 and a 1/2 teaspoons)
Any topping you want to add (I dusted mine with matcha!)
How To Make
– Steep your tea – Again the tea needs to be able to stand up to the amount of milk you are going to use. With green tea I use around 3-4 perfect scoops and I steep it in a small amount of water (around 2/4ths of a cup). This makes for a concentrated flavourful tea that will be able to stand up to the milk. Add your sweetener to this.
– Heat up your milk in a small saucepan, once you’re happy with the temperature add the milk to your steeped tea.
– Froth the milk you set aside for topping. And that and your other chosen toppings to you latte.
– Sip to your hearts content.
Festive Marmalade – Tisane Latte
What You’ll need :
Leaves Of The World Marzipan Dream Green Tea (3-4 Perfect Scoops)
Alpro Soya Milk (Original) (1/2 a Cup) – (A Little For Frothing to top your latte)
Your Chosen Sweetener (1 and a 1/2 teaspoons)
Any topping you want to add (I went for super festive glittery gold stars!)
How To Make
– Steep your tea – Again the tea needs to be able to stand up to the amount of milk you are going to use. With tisanes I use around 3-4 perfect scoops and I steep it in a small amount of water (around 2/4ths of a cup).
– Indulge Yourself
(As you all know I struggle to get my tastes buds to enjoy hot tisanes but this was different and I think this might just be the start of me being able to enjoy tisanes hot)

I have never tried a tea latte before, but if it’s anything like “normal” latte then I’ll be sure to like it (although maybe not in marzipan flavour nor Christmas cake…)

These look delicious. I love the smell of chai tea and I often have a chai latte when I’m out, but I had no idea that you could make them at home as well. The marmalade one is my favourite, I think, and those little gingerbread men are so cute! x
