| Blogmas Day 23 – Vegan Candy Cane Matcha Latte Recipe|

Hey there Teacups! You all seemed to love my Leaves Of The World latte post the other day so for today’s post  I thought I would share another festive treat I’ve been enjoying this Christmas with you all. As you all know I’ve really found a love for matcha this year and that wasn’t going to stop just because of Christmas. I just had to find a way to make it festive … and that’s where the candy canes come into it.

Those of you who know me well, will know that I love candy canes so it only makes sense that I would find away to flavour my tea with them. This is the first year I’ve made these candy cane matcha lattes but they are so simple to make that I’ll definitely be making them year after year now.

Candy Cane Matcha LatteIngredients – will yield 2 servings

– 2 cups Alpro Soya Milk Original – A little set aside for topping

– 2- 2 1/2 tsp matcha

– 1 candy cane, crushed into bits – 1 candy Cane for stirring

(You won’t need any sweetener because Candy Canes are very sweet and you’ll be infusing your milk with a full one.)

How To Make– Warm the milk to just under boiling. Add the whole candy cane to your milk and remember to keep stirring it. – This will infuse the milk with that deliciously festive taste we all know and love, and makes for a candy cane taste that is prominent but doesn’t over shadow the matcha.

– Sieve your matcha into a matcha bowl with some water and whisk with matcha whisk.

– Heat Froth the soya milk you set aside for topping

– Crush the candy cane you set aside for topping and sprinkle it onto of your froth.

So there you have it an incredibly simple way to add a festive twist to your favourite matcha. I’m looking forward to having this on Christmas eve while I watch Elf and on Christmas Day with breakfast. This is they best way to use up those left over candy canes before Christmas is over.

As always if you have any questions at all sick them in the comments or send them too me on twitter (@teaisawishblog) and I’ll answer them as soon as possible.

Speak to you all tomorrow, Happy Steeping – Kimberley
