Let’s Talk Tea | ICHAI – Vanilla Chai| Review

Hey there Teacups! I’m back again today with another Let’s Talk Tea post this time around I’m going to be reviewing ICHAI’s Vanilla Chai blend. If you’ve read any of my post featuring ICHAI you will know that I’ve loved every single one of their blends that I’ve tired so when it came to trying this one I went into my tasting session with very high expectations. I have to admit though that out of all the blends ICHAI included in the box that they sent this is the one I was the most excited to try and I’m surprised I managed to hold off on trying it for so long.38217156_1862395280484161_3503893367287185408_n.jpg

It’s reminded me if the vanilla chai sugar cookies I made a few months ago and it honestly made me so hungry. (I can see those vanilla chai cookies being taken to a whole new level once make them with this blend)

Tea Tasting Notes

I honestly can’t even begin to put into words just how much I love the taste of this blend.  In the past when I’ve had Vanilla chai’s the vanilla just hasn’t been strong enough and I’ve been really disappointed by that because you expect a strong vanilla note from something dubbed a vanilla chai. But this blend was far from a disappointment the vanilla is the star of the show and instead of overpowering everything else it paired perfectly with the cinnamon and the malt notes provided by the black tea. Once steeped I couldn’t pick out the cloves in the flavour profile at all which isn’t really a bad thing if you ask me. I’m so glad that ICHAI were able to make the vanilla the star of this blend and keep it all natural I’ve seen a lot of companies use artificial flavouring for vanilla teas and it just isn’t the same.

I drank this straight without any milk of sweetener as it really didn’t need it at all and while ICHAI do sat it can be taken with both I just didn’t feel like it needed either. I’m really thankful I was given the chance to try this blend as It’s opened my eyes to what a true vanilla chai should be like I’ll certainly be buying some more in the future. Although I have a bag full of these pyramids left I know they probably won’t last longer than maybe a month at most in my house. I’m looking forward to doing some tea infused baking with this blend I think it would work well for both sugar cookies and cake so I’ll have to do some experimenting.

Overall Teacup Rating: 5/5
