Hey there Teacups! I recently found out about an amazing tea event that’s being held in Derby in October. That event is the Great British Tea Festival and it’s being held on October 21st, 2018 in Derby (UK) at The Roundhouse. I actually found out about this event accidentally while I was scrolling through Instagram and before I opened the profile I was expecting it to be another event that was happing in London but to my surprise it wasn’t and I couldn’t have been happier when I saw that it was being held so close to me in Derby. It’s safe to say that as soon as I saw that I knew we were going to have to make plans to go.The Great British Tea Festival was inspired by the fact that there isn’t a platform at the moment for smaller, more independent tea brands to showcase their products and their exciting tea blends and flavours. As you probably know, the supermarket only has a small selection of tea brands that dominate the market, so this can be unfortunate for the customers who want to experience new tea blends and flavours, as the most innovative products and tea blends aren’t easily accessible. They wanted to create a platform for tea brands of all sizes, from established brands to newer upcoming tea brands.
They also want to showcase the aesthetic which surround the tea-drinking experience as well, from tableware products to other consumables that are related to tea.

My fiancé and I are both really excited to attend this event and meet lots of new tea companies and fellow tea lovers. We can’t wait to hopefully find some new favourite teas, eat scones and take in everything the festival has to offer. It will also be great to be able to put some faces to the names of the companies I’ve collaborated with before that are exhibiting at the festival. Be sure to let me know in the comments if you’re planning to attend, I would love to be able to meet some of you and talk all things tea.
You can find out more about The Great British Tea Festival and purchase you tickets here . As always Teacups if you have any questions at all either stick them in the comments or send them to me on Twitter/Instagram @teaisawishblog and I’ll answer them as soon as I can.
Speak to you all again soon. Happy Steeping. – Kimberley
