Tea of the Day #2 is Eteaket’s Mellow Yellow. I’ve been trying to ration this one since I first tried it for my Let’s Talk Tea review that I did in 2018 because its absolutely amazing and I really didn’t want to run out. Of course I could just buy some more but I’m not a sip down at the moment and I’m trying to make my tea stash a little smaller and make the most of what I already have before I spend anymore money. In 2018 Eteaket sent me one of their 100g caddies of this and I’ve even though I’ve been rationing it since I reviewed it I’ve still made it through over half of the caddy because it’s such a tasty blend and once I start drinking it’s hard to stop.
Yellow tea, goji berries, mango bits (mango, sugar, acidifier: citric acid), pineapple bits (pineapple, sugar, acidifier: citric acid), flavouring, hibiscus blossoms, orange peel, safflowers, cranberry bits.
It’s liquor is a beautiful golden yellow colour and all of its notes while flavourful are mellow and soft and dance gingerly on your tongue. This is an incredibly well balanced blend and all the elements of it are powerful but non of them outshine the others they just pair beautifully together. I just love how intensely fruity it is I think it’s one of the best fruity bends I’ve ever had and it’s one of the only fruity blend I enjoy drinking hot. I’ve had this both hot and Iced many times now and I have to say its just one of those blends that is perfect both ways, the only differences between the two is that it tend to be that little bit more refreshing when iced and when hot it tends to taste that little bit sweeter. If I have any of this left by the time summer arrives I can see myself drinking this iced every single day. I’m more than 100% sure this was the first yellow tea I tried and It’s left a great first impression and made me want to try so many more.
If you want to find out more about Eteaket and buy some of this magical blend for yourself, you can do both here. As always if you have any questions at all either stick them in the comments or send them to me on Twitter/Instagram @teaisawishblog and I’ll answer them all as soon as I can.
Speak to you all again soon. Happy Steeping – Kimberley
