Let’s Talk Tea | T By Daniel – TEA-ARA (White Tea) | Review

Hey there Teacups! I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a few days I just haven’t been feeling very well and I had to let myself rest. But today I’m back with another Let’s Talk Tea post and this time around I’m going to be reviewing T By Daniel’s – Tea-ara blend. It’s a white tea blend with peach & apricot notes. It also has a varied selection of adorable sprinkles in it and you all know just how much of a sucker I am for a blend with sprinkles in it. I love the taste of white tea so when I saw that this blend had been included in the package I was sent I was really excited to get round to giving it a try. Despite how much tea I drink on a daily basis I’ve not had many flavoured white tea blends as they aren’t something I come across too often.61970026_447419295825571_1205223808156303360_n.jpgHere’s what T by Daniel have to say about this blend over on their website: ” Every Woman was once a little girl, who every now and then felt like a princess. As we get older and life changes, sometimes we forget to wear our crowns. We forget our value and just how unique and special we each are. So no matter what life brings you, hit that kettle, grab your favourite teacup and just relax. Allow this aromatic, purifying white tea to sooth and calm you, and with every sip, remember that little girl deep down inside; who boldly wears a big smile on her face, and a sparkly tiara on her head. A portion of the sales of this tea will go towards the Shoebox Project

Tea Tasting Notes

Like I said earlier in this post I love the taste of white tea and when I saw this blend had been included in the package I was very kindly sent from T by Daniel (gifted) I couldn’t have been more excited to give it a try and see what it was going to be like because flavoured White tea blends are hard to come across here in the UK. For this tasting session I tried this blend both hot (steep for 2-3 mins at 80) and cold brewed/iced (steeped in cold water overnight). I was a little bit worried about trying this hot I won’t lie, mostly because of the fact that every other White Tea or White Tea based blend I have tried hot has triggered insanely bad heartburn. But with this being a brand new blend to me I wanted to give it a chance and try it both hot and cold so I could truly give a well rounded review and get the most out of this blend as possible.

Both hot and cold this blend is deliciously creamy and smooth with the delicate sweet juiciness of peach and apricot. The subtle white tea when steeped hot pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the peach but the apricot is much more of a background note. When steeped hot it’s very light and delicate but I honestly think I enjoy that as it’s such a nice break from the heavier teas I normally drink. When cold brewed the white tea becomes a lot stronger and as a result the peach and the apricot do become a bit more subtle but considering they have been added to this blend in the form of a flavouring I’m surprised they are able to replicate their flavours so perfectly.

The one downside to this blend is that I think there are just a few too many sprinkles included. I love sprinkles but the amount of them in this blend was just a little too much for me as not all of them dissolved and the ones that did added much more sweetness than I would have liked. I love the idea behind the sprinkles used in this blend but I think maybe taking a few of them out would balance out the sweetness a little bit. I honestly enjoy this blend both hot and iced so I recommend trying it both ways if you do treat yourself to some. This is a naturally very sweet blend mostly because of the sprinkles so I wouldn’t suggest adding anymore sweetener as it would throw this blend completely off balance. Overall this is a very nice blend and I would consider repurchasing it again if the amount of sprinkles in the blend was toned down a little bit.

Overall Teacup Rating: 4.9/5
