Let’s Talk Teaware | T2 Tea – Matcha Flask| Review

Hey there Teacups! I know my posts have been a little sporadic and off schedule recently, but sadly the last few days have been horrible because of bad migraines and I’ve not even been able to look at my laptop or do tasting sessions so I really am playing catch up now. Hopefully over the next few days I’ll be able to fully catch up and everything will go back to normal for a little bit. Today’s post is another Let’s Talk Teaware post and this time around I’m going to be reviewing T2 Tea’s – Matcha Flask. I’ve own one for a few months now and I’ve been meaning to review it for a while but just never got round to doing it. Recently T2 sent me some of their matchas to try and included in the package was the gold version of their Matcha flask, which I wasn’t expecting at all! It really took me by surprise and reminded me that I was yet to review Matcha Flask I already had for this series.

Just to be completely transparent I wasn’t asked to review the Matcha flask they sent but it was gifted alongside the Matcha they sent me to review. I’ve own a glittery green version of their Matcha Flask for a long time now and I use it on a almost daily basis so all opinions in this post are my own and they haven’t been paid for at all.62004607_2314472538822801_4009522369348501504_n.jpgHere’s what T2 Tea themselves have to say about the Matcha Flasks on their website: Matcha on the run? Right here! Featuring a hidden stainless steel whisk to help make your Matcha quick smart, this is for those who need their green goodness to go! Follow the steps for a quick and easily made Matcha latte all in one handy flask – just add T2 Matcha, water, milk and shake – it’s a seriously tasty Matcha brew on the move! (300ML Capacity | Body: stainless steel with thermal insulation, Whisk: Stainless steel, Filter: Silicone, Lid/Lip: 100% PP, Gasket/anti-leaking ring: silicone. Gentle hand wash only. Not suitable for microwave or dishwasher.)

As you all know by now I love Matcha and I have done since the very first time I tried it but when you are out of the house its not very a accessible and for me that is where T2’s Matcha Flasks come in so handy. Since receiving my glittery green Matcha Flask as gift (from my amazing fiancé) a while ago now I’ve used it almost everyday, both while I’m at home and while I’m out of the house. I’m so thankful that T2 have made Matcha so much more accessible for me. Using their Matcha Flask with a built in Matcha whisk I am now able to whip up a brew in a matter of minutes which is great for when I’m travelling but absolutely amazing when I’m in pain with either a headache or a Migraine and I need a little boost to keep me going through the pain.

It also means that I can now enjoy Matcha every single day! It’s really helping me make the most of the Matcha in my tea collection/stash that otherwise would have just been left in the tea cupboard or the fridge until I had enough time/ was feeling well enough to get my Matcha bowl and whisk out and spend time making a cup. The design, look and feel of the flask is excellent and was exactly what I was looking for when I was on the search for Matcha teaware. It also keeps the liquor at temperature for a good few hours, so whether you have your Matcha hot or iced it will stay the same temperature as it was when you made it for hours on end. 61797545_321599862098660_375466191340175360_n

Another great thing about this flask is that the Matcha whisk can be taken out and the infusers from T2’s standard tea flasks also fit in it, which mean that on days when I’m out of the house if I don’t fancy Matcha I can use this smaller and easier to travel with flask to prepare any other Tea in my collection. The great thing about this flask is that you don’t have to know absolutely everything about Matcha to be able to use it. I’m sure these flasks and how reasonably priced they are will help a lot of people find Matcha and open them up to a whole new world of tea. Because they are a lot cheaper than the full Matcha sets T2 offer, it means you don’t have make as much of a commitment/spend a huge amount of money if you are trying Matcha for the first time and you are worried that you might not like it.

There is only one way that this Matcha Flask falls a little bit flat for me and that is that I have experienced some issues cleaning the whisk as fine Matcha powder often clings to the rubber parts but am normally able to resolve this by adding warm-ish water & washing up liquid, putting everything together, shake and rinse! If they doesn’t manage to get it all off I will then scrub all the parts a few times with my bottle brush and that little bit of elbow grease works wonders. The actual flask part is really easy to clean and doesn’t seem to stain or hold onto any odours at all. All in all this product has been a life changer for me and I can’t wait to carry on using both of mine for a long time to come. If you are a Matcha lover yourself I highly recommend investing in on of these, and if you don’t love Matcha but you know someone who does they make amazing gifts.

Overall Teacup Rating: 4.9/5

If you want to find out more about T2 and purchase one of their Matcha Flasks for yourself, you can do both here. As always if you have any questions at all either stick them in the comments or send them to me on Twitter/Instagram @teaisawishblog and I’ll answer them all as soon as I can.

Speak to you all again soon. Happy Steeping. – Kimberley
