Hey There Teacups! I’m back today with another Let’s Talk Tea post and this time around I’m going to be reviewing T By Daniel’s – Love Note blend. As you all know I’ve tried a few blends from T By Daniel so far and up until now I have enjoyed each and every one of them, so I always look forward to doing tasting sessions with new blends that I haven’t tried before. Because I’ve loved every blend I have tried from them I never, ever go into my T By Daniel tasting sessions with any worries or hesitations and I love that. It’s nice to have that kind of consistency from a tea company.
Their Love Note blend is a black tea based blend with notes of Strawberry and Peach and to top it all off it has been showered with love in the form of adorable heart sprinkles. This was blended specifically for T By Daniel’s customers who support them to no end. They wanted to do something special to show just how thankful they were for the people who buy their tea and support them to no end and this was definitely the best way to do that.
Here’s what Dan & Ren over at T By Daniel have to say about this blend on their website: “At T By Daniel, you know if there’s one thing we love (other than tea!)….it’s our customers! So this one’s dedicated to you!”
“Love note is a deliciously peachy and strawberry black tea blend, with big candy hearts, thrown in just to remind you that we that a cup of tea made with love is always a little tastier! You can expect notes of: Peach-tastic goodness, Strawberry fields forever and Black tea.”
About the blend: Tastes amazing hot or iced! Ice it down by using double the amount you would for your hot tea
Ingredients: Black Tea, Sugar Hearts, Natural Strawberry and Peach Flavouring *CANDY HEARTS CONTAIN PEANUT OIL*
Tea Tasting Notes
This blend in phenomenal and I think I knew it was going to be phenomenal from the moment I smelt it. Because this blend both smells and tastes exactly like the strawberry creams from Quality Street’s to the point where its almost an exact replica of them and it encapsulates all of their best qualities. I was a little bit worried that because the Strawberry & Peach notes in this blend come from flavourings that they would be far too artificial but that wasn’t the case at all, they’re actually really soft and they pair perfectly with the black tea.
The heart sprinkles are not only adorable but they add a great natural sweetness that means you don’t need to add any sweetener at all. This blend is pretty much perfectly balanced. The black tea and it’s classic malty notes are the stand outs in this blend and while it is robust and strong like a black tea should be it doesn’t overpower the more subtle sweet and fruity notes in the blend.
So far I’ve tried this blend on its own and as a latte and I’ve really enjoyed it both ways. I used vanilla soya milk to make the latte and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time. They soft vanilla note of the soya milk made this taste like a sponge cake with cream and strawberry jam and it was absolutely phenomenal. Once I get some more vanilla soya milk I’ll be using what I have left of this blend to make so many more lattes. I think it would be really nice as an iced latte as well or a bubble tea so I’ll have to try making those. Just like all of the other T By Daniel teas I’ve tried this will be one I can see myself re-ordering time and time again.
Overall Teacup Rating: 5/5
