Hey there Teacups! I’m back today with another Let’s Talk Tea post and this time around I’m going to be reviewing Totem Tea’s – Exotic Peacock tisane. If you’ve been reading my blog for at least the last few months you’ll know that I’ve previously tried two other blend from Totem Tea and absolutely adored them, so when the time came to try this blend I was beyond excited to see what it had to offer and whether or not I was going to love it as much as I loved the other two that I’ve tried. One thing I love about Totem Tea is that it’s very clear that a lot of time, effort and attention has gone into each of their blends. I think they have deffinelty found a life long fan in me!Here’s what Totem Tea have to say about this blend over on their website: This tea longs to live in the limelight, it is an explosion of colour and scent. The sweetness of the raspberry, the zestiness of the lime, the mouth watering coconut. This tea will go with a bang, shine with it!
Ingredients: Apple*, quince*, coconut*, lemongrass*, hibiscus*, natural flavouring, lemon peels*, raspberry*, cornflower*, goji berry*.
Tisane Tasting Notes
This tisane is quite literally summer in a cup both hot and iced and it’s to die for. While it’s delicious both hot and iced I think it prefer it much more when it’s iced because it just seems much more balanced when it’s iced and a lot more of the ingredients included in the blend are able to shine in their own right. Hot, this is all lemongrass and apple which to me tastes a lot like lemon sherbets and it does have quite a sharp bite to it that will throw you off at first. But iced it’s deliciouslty balanced and each and every ingredient comes through and the addition of the coconut and raspberry to the flavour profile made this even more fantastic. Luckily the hibiscus and the lemon mellowed out in the iced version meaning the harsh bite was completely removed and it became much more easier to drink. The overall mouthfeel is light, juicy and not drying at all, but that is normally the case with tisane blends like this, as fruit never tends to be drying at all. Because there is quite a bit of apple in this this blend so it’s naturally very sweet meaning you don’t need to add any sweetener at all especially when it’s iced. Normally at this point in my post I would suggest something that this blend might pair well with to make another drink but honeslty this blend is so good on it’s own and that how I suggest everyone drinks it. Thank you so much Totem Tea for giving me the opportunity to try this blend I can see myself repurchasing this one time and time again.
Overall Teacup Rating: 5/5
